Your Underdark Character

Thought it'd be good to have a topic for general descriptions of your underdarker as the Amia character thread spans too many pages over too many years. The Template I use is very simple, it consists of:

Name: Grimgor


Race: Orog


General Description:
Standing at a minimal 6'5, this Orog is smaller then most of his Orcish Bretheren. The Orcish traits are obvious: flat nose, green skin, sloping forehead, slunched shoulders and a lower jaw of vicious fangs but his proportions are too large to have been mixed with human blood.

His eyes are slightly larger and more pale in colour then the usual orc which is a side effect from living in the near-total darkness of the Underdark most of his vicious life. He has an obvious cunning presence in his eyes which leads to many dim witted individuals claiming his father was a Goblin.... very few of these individuals ever speak after saying it.


Personality:
Grimgor epitomises the Orog way of thinking to the letter: every action he does has an economic and planned industrial motive behind it. He does not go to war for the thrill of the fight but for the spoils he can use to further his gains. Because of this, he is extremely patient and will wait for a better opportunity to rise then to throw the lives of his Boys away for confrontations that have no merit in the long term.

Grimgor knows he's not the largest orc in the world so he utilises the cunning intellect few Orcs have (or use if they have it) to take charge of his dim witted cousins and fool his self proclaimed "intelectually superior" rival races. He is multilingual which furthers his gains either by keeping all his boys in line or dealing with non-Orcish races. He takes trade extremely seriously and has been known to kill offenders who infringe his trade agreements. Although it is safe to assume he'd prefer using his head over his arm to solve a problem, he has no qualms with smashing skulls if it's required and has proved it on many occasions.

Grimgor hates Elves with a zealous passion and will go to great lengths to take Elven lives whenever possible. Fortunately for the Elves, most of his rage is directed to his own kind; Greenskins who are too 'Humanised' are the first to bear the blow of his axe. Elimination of the weak is a good thing afterall... it keeps One Eye happy and it keeps his Boys happy. Although he despises them, he understands the importance of getting along with his rival Underdark Races to supplement his own inabilities and to keep him safe from the hostile environment he calls home.

Name: Chess'bryne

Race: Drow

Faction: Glen'Vharcan

General Description: Chess is tall for a drow, standing at a towering 5'5" and weighing in at almost 130 lbs. Her body is well-developed and would seem slim when compared to the other non-elven races, but when put next to one of her own, it's easy to notice the extra width through her shoulders and the overall increase in muscle mass compared to the average for her kin. Her hair is always cut short to make it less of concern in battle. Her lavender eyes are sharp and stick like daggers to whatever has her attention. Despite her rugged and militant exterior, Chess'bryne's face still has the haunting beauty that all drow possess. The lack of make-up seems to enhance her natural beauty, showing off her even skin tone and naturally high cheekbones to perfection.

Name: Ibseth Glenn'Vharcan

Race: Drow

Faction: Glenn'Vharcan

General Description: Around 5'4 in height, and roughly 120 pounds in weight, Ibseth Glenn'Vharcan is a formidable force. Training his skill for hundreds of years, he has become a soldier of ultimate battle, fearlessly striding into anything should he fall or not. Usually armed in full plate armor and at any time has a mulitude of weapons upon his person. His primary blade Vreg'nth Vhid which translated from the drow language means "wicked chaos" rests in one scabbard, as does his other blade Vhid Wun Nar'Hethi, translated meaning "Chaos in Vengence"He is trained under the dark arts of the Blackguard, as well as he is able to see all within shadow.

Personality: The eptiome of a soldier, he is gruff and to the point. Often he can be seen as wreckless, when in reality he is surrenduring to the base concepts of chaos. He is devout of Lolth, as he has been all his life. As he has aged hes grown less interested in battle as a whole, though if need be he shall fight and still enjoys it quite well. Now he focuses on Business, every aspect he can get his black hands upon. Seeking to gain as much wealth and power as possible, he has gathered those who wish to follow the ways of the queen and Seveltarm to him, showing them they have yet still a purpose for their queen.

(Optional) History: Ibseth has lived many years, wandering across the underdark. Born in Ched Nasad, he only recently has come to the island region of Amia. However in the time that he has been here, he has served many and finally set out with a new purpose. See

Name: Tarlyn Glenn'Vharcan

Race: Drow

Faction: Glenn'Vharcan

General Description:
Having earned the nickname "Smasher," Tarlyn bares the natural looks of his race to a more raw and untamed level. Standing a mere 5' and made of lean muscle like most who've survived on a commoner's diet, he fits into society without a hitch.

Personality:
Tarlyn is a lost soul, a Drow who has no strong ties to a single ambition which affects his personality. He is rather unpredictable in nature, epitomising his famous catch phrase: "I had a plan. A good plan. Carefully laid out... but I got bored." Having spent most of his time in the dregs of Drow society with the lesser races, he has great insight on them and is generally the first to accept them.

(Optional) History:
Tarlyn's life was spent as a commoner whom had many opportunities to rise to Noble status. Why he didn't is a mystery to everyone... perhaps he got bored with the ambition and decided to do something else?

Name: Oskar Bloodbeard

Race: Duergar

Faction: Church of Bane, Zhentarim Infantry, Tarkuul Protectorate, Bloodbeard Clan

General Description: Standing a little over 2 inches taller than his brother Tordek, Oskar is fiercly vain of his beard and long flowing hair. He carries a cheeky glint in his eyes and you know when he gives you 'that' look he's got mischief in mind. Neither stocky nor slim he is of medium build for his people.

Personality: Cheeky, Scheming, tricky and underhand. Oskar employs all these traits and more, often he intentionaly portrays himself as being a bit dumb and slow but in reality his mind is a whirlwind of activity, he uses his apparent stupidity to lure his enemy into a false sense of security.

Name: Wulfar Bloodbeard

Race: Duergar

Faction: Bloodbeard Clan

General Description: A profoundly profane character of a duergar, Wulfar will half as likely look at you as he will curse your name to the heavens and back. One of the more talkative brothers in the clan he is particularly rude to those around him, mainly because he can be...

Personality: He's constantly thinking of something, but it's not necessarily the torrent of abuse and innuendo that flows from his mouth most of the time. He has a particularly wicked bent when it gets down to the wire.

(Optional) History: An outsider inducted into the clan, Of nine brothers Wulfar is the only survivor. Six brothers died by several misadventures which he will recount to you. The other two met their end on his axe after their mother died and so he left his family mine - the isolation self imposed by his grandfather coming to an end, the meager scratching that had been achieved by the tiny family being caved in by the youngest son nonetheless.

General Description: By any racial standard Bar'a'fein seems non-threating, and is quite unremarkable. Possessing average height, weight and build he can blend with any crowd if he's of a mind to pass unnoticed. His remarkable and memorable features are his performances in multiple artforms, though he favors puppetry above all others. Occasionally he will burst into song on a whim, or throw down a puppet crafted to the likeness of a sentient to prove a point.

Personality: Hardline fanatic under a threadbare facade of inconsistent nihilism.

(Optional) History: Plucked from relative obscurity by Ibseth.]

Name: Tordek Bloodbeard

Race: Duergar

Faction: Bloodbeards

General Description: Stark white hair, Single Red Eye, Trimmed beard, well mannered. Has a great axe straped to his back and a duergar waraxe on his belt.

Personality: Easy going, respectful and fiercely loyal. Can sometimes be over protective of his brothers (especially Oskar) and sisters. Prefers to stay on level grounds with people, hates owing a debt, life or otherwise. Won't kill honourlessly, but will hire others to. Despises dwarves, and will often call them cowards and bearded gnomes to their faces before cleaving their skulls.

(Optional) History: Oldest Bloodbeard. Former Commander of duergar army back at the clan hold, often goes back to sort out the mess the runts make. Lost his eye to a crossbow bolt. Has been followed by Oskar for most of his life.

Name: Kroann Bloodbeard

Race: Duergar

Faction: Bloodbeards & Zhents (Part-time, if Met ever inducts him hahaha)

General Description: Standing before you is a Duergar of around 4,1. He is plated heavily in dark armor, and smells strongly of dirt and rock. This Grey dwarf has dark grayish skin, with white tattoo's that travel along his body in intricate patterns, sometimes snaking around what looks like the scars of battle. This Duergar has long bush white hair. and sports a well grown beard of pure white hair. His body is firmly shaped, and clearly capable of much toil, his muscles hardened for all to see.

The most unique aspect about this dwarf, apart from his skin, is the white of his eyes. If any Duergar stand near who are not of his clan, they would look uneasy near him. His eyes are a pitch white, though he is clearly able to see and not blind in the slightest.

Finally you notice he holds prominent colors upon his armor, clearly designed in a purposeful way, along with a clear symbol upon it. It is obvious this Duergar is a member of some Clan, though of what you do not know.

Personality: Kroann is a foul creature. He typically feels that "feelings" and "Sensitivity" are weak attributes that belong to lesser races. He believes firmly that to move foreward with life is best done by chipping his way through with a pick. One step at a time, with nothing but muscle, sweat and blood. He typically goes out of his way to insult people, generally taking measure of them. He even does so with his own clan members. Though beyond all the steel and stone that is Kroann, he is loyal to his clan, completely and utterly. He may question, but he always follows his brothers. His loyalty to his family is only overshadowed by his loyalty to Ladugeur.

(Optional) History:
When Tordek left on his journey ages back, Kroann took over command of the clans army temporarly. In battle Kroann was more then able to fill the void left by Tordek. But after the fights, Kroann found the army turned to chaos. He never could get his head around logistics, tactics and other such things. Kroann's usual tactic was to lead the army from the front, taking the lead, standing like the stone he loves, and slashing down any who came near. However, after Tordek having to come back and knock the army in order so many times due to Kroann's inability to sort out these area's, he was replaced by a lesser brother. Usually this would have driven most Duergar mad, but Kroann was happy to be back on the front, or in the mines.

After some time Kroann eventually lost interest in the mines of the Bloodbeard clan, and the beatings he was taking from Mumma due to his bar brawls grew tiresome. He took up his axe and ale, setting off in search of his brothers to aid them in whatever they were doing.

Since then Kroann has found his brother, had his loyalty to his god tested, and left the island again. He has recently returned having explored the inn's of the world, and now follows his brothers once again.

Okay. I have two diferent characters that I have been told I should post here with so here we go.

Character number one:

Name: Koinar Bloodbeard

Race: Duergar

Faction: Bloodbeards

General Description: Koinar is average size for a duergar with a bald head and a dark gray to black beard. The most noticable feature is his pale skin. It is more of a light ash color than a dark gray that most duergar have.

Personality: Koinar's personality is a mix of cheer and disrespect. The disrespect is often shown in his sarcastic comments and overly theatrical salutes and bows. He enjoys battle more than anything and can often be heard laughing and joking as he swings his axe.

Character number two:

Name: Vlos'jhinrae d'Tinnerai (known by many as Vlos'killian)

Race: Drow

Faction: Kyorl d'orrb(Maybe it depends on if his commander returns or the command is turned over to another), Tinnerai(Maybe Vlos is uncertain of his standing at this time), Glenn'Vharcan?(Whatever faction Ibseth said I should post this character with), He is also a friend of many in Tarkuul.

General Description: It is hard to tell Vlos's true height because he tends to keep himself bowed slightly shorter than the shortest female drow in his proximity. He changes the coloration of his armor frequently more so because he is trying not to be located by certain people not because he likes the change. He often wears the black and yellow of tinnerai or a green and gold that helps him to blend in with surface elves if he needs to. Vlos' is a linguist and has been working on several languages and accents that allow him to keep his identity secret when he wishes. He has several scars covering his face and body and can easily be recognized because of these when they are exposed. The most noticable scar covers his entire chest. This was carved into him while he was being tortured and resembles a crudely drawn spider.

Personality: He has been discribed by some as the quiet sensible type and others as "A good jaluk" Though his chaotic nature has taken it's toll on those discriptions recently. At times Vlos has blood lust and rage issues and will ignore commands in battle to continue the fight. There are a few within Ultrinnan that believe him to be a haretic. Vlos' Is very paranoid, he often can be seen setting a highly polished silver flask on a table so that he can see what or who is behind him and he constantly scans the room that he is in.


I left the optional history off because very few people know in game what either of these characters history is.

General Description:
she likes undead, palemaster arm normaly hidden, her familiar is a beholder with the eyes and the skin riped off/out name blargh

Personality:
shes sly and lies her way around situaion if she is blammed she puts it down she is choosen out of racism
mainly quite angry althrough normaly shows it of as another emotion such as misery or overall happyness

(Optional) History: born a Buck-tooth she took a liking to undead after her frist animate undead spell
she saw there uses and started to love them entirley
she helped smush ( the first buck-tooth leader) hunt until that faithful day the tyrant goblin was assainated
when shaman came to cheiftan her power grew with high hopes and she became the advisor of the tribe
