The Bloodbeard Clan

The Bloodbeard presence on Amia was started when Tordek and Oskar decided to leave their home and travel after a large war (That Oskar and Tordek both fought in) against Drow claimed the lives of most of their friends and family, but mostly to escape the tyranny of Mumma, who even by Duergar standards is insane.

Arriving on the island they both drew the attention of the banite Dreadlord at the time, Dosethius Sigers, who enrolled them into the Zhentarim Infantry as his personal bodyguards, a role they still perform today for the current Dreadlord, Frey Asaid de'Majere.

The Bloodbeards are an unusual clan for their kin, they sport long white hair and beards and have reddish eyes, Oskar stated once that it's due to them having drow heritage, but wether that's true or not or another of Oskar's little stories, nobody knows.. and probably never will.

Tordek and Oskar have been together for as long as either can remember, Tordek being the senior of the two by only two years often takes the lead, though more often than not it's Oskar that does all the talking.
Tordek and Oskar are never far from each other, though you may only see one, there is a high chance that the other is nearby, watching and listening or within shouting distance.

Mumma Bloodbeard is the tyranical Matriarch of the clan, something of a breeding machine she appears to pop out a new Runt, as Oskar and Tordek put them, at least once a year and has continued to do so for many centuries, quite how she manages it not even the two oldest (Oskar and Tordek) can explain, apparently a fat, ugly, evil looking psychopath it is pretty much assumed that Mumma must use her great ability to install fear in people to bed her 'mates'... owing to Mumma having many partners over the years, no Bloodbeard is 100% related to the others, the only exceptions being Oskar and Tordek and the twins Yesta and Yecta... to date.

The Bloodbeards generaly worship Bane, though Ladugueer and Deep Duerra are also popular deities in the clan, quite when or how they started worhipping Bane, nobody knows... Mumma Bloodbeard is herself a Cleric of Bane, though pretty much nothing else is known of her.

The Bloodbeard home city is unknown and when asked they'll answer with a different city each time or just tell you to "Keep ye bleedin' nose out o' it, ye poof".

Usualy the Bloodbeards will contantly rib one another, perform violent and often cruel practical jokes upon each other and inner clan punch ups aren't a rare thing, but when the going gets tough and they're up against it they band together and fight to the death to protect their kin, fiercly loyal to one another they are, when assembled in a war band, a very fierce, stubborn and frightening opponent.

Owing to the huge size of the clan it's not unusual for the older kin to not know the names or faces of their younger kin, but once their identity is know the older kin generaly pull rank and do their best to protect and nurture the growth of their siblings, this doesn't however stop the younger sibling being the butt of many a joke.

Bloodbeard colours are cherry red and flat black, sometimes with shiney black trim. Thier armour is usualy covered in large, cruel looking spikes and their helmets more than usualy have large thorns, horns and spikes... which pleases Oskar as his favoured method of fighting is a hefty headbutt right on the nose.

Overall the Bloodbeards are a very large clan of various fighting styles and classes and a broad range of deities, fiercly loyal to one another, yet frequently cruel to one another also, they are headstrong and like any Duergar harbour a bitter resentment and hatred of surface Dwarves.

Oskar and Tordek:

Oskar and Tordek were born a mere two years apart an unlike all thier other siblings (with the exception of Yesta and Yecta, the Twins) are the only ones who have the same Father. Thier Father was the longest relationship ever held by Mumma, a record that to this day looks highly unlikely to be equaled or beaten.

Eventualy Mumma got rid of Pappa and sent him on his way, a fortunate escape as most of her following partners have met a sticky end in one way or another. Tordek and Oskar were split up, Pappa raised Tordek (the manners beat into him) Mumma raised Oskar (cruder but still mannered when required).
